Dunkin’ Donuts Says “Thanks” to Educators

(Baltimore, MD) August 29, 2008 – The Greater Baltimore area Dunkin' Donuts stores are launching a “Thanks to You” heroes program which salutes a different group of local heroes each month by offering them a free medium coffee every Tuesday.

September is all about saluting local teachers, administrators and school staff who help keep communities running every day. As a way to say thank you for all they do, participating Greater Baltimore area Dunkin' Donuts are offering a free medium coffee to teachers who they show their IDs on every Tuesday in September. Teachers can visit www.dunkindonuts.com to find a local Dunkin' Donuts store.

To kick off the salute to teachers, Dunkin' Donuts will recognize Anne Arundel county math teacher Kevin Gast with a special Dunkin' Donuts gift card at the Dunkin' Donuts at 7152 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie on Tuesday, September 2 at 6:15 a.m. Gast, who teaches at Northeast High School in Pasadena, was nominated by his peers as a teacher who serves others in times of crisis by coordinating food drives and collecting non-perishable items for soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“He is a role model for everyone,” said Dunkin’ Donuts field marketing manager, Stacey Carroll, “and Dunkin’ Donuts is proud to support Kevin and the individuals who play such an important part in educating our children.”

Dunkin' Donuts will honor firefighters in October, veterans and active military personnel in November, and police officers in December.

Dunkin' Donuts stores in Baltimore City and County, Anne Arundel, Carroll, Cecil, Harford, Howard, Talbot, Queen Anne, and Kent Counties will participate in the program.
